Re: List of possible Bindings.

... Anyway - i think i will try to do this the way tha you say is (for the moment) the best - is there any way to create the modules through a loop or something.? I have 9 Pages with 9 desks in each page. (eg - do Fvwm Support Loops - i asume not). Else i just write a piece of c-code that generates...

Re: Emacs major mode for Fvwm

For the emacsers among us, fvwm-mode 2.6.1 has been released.

The only functional difference with previous versions is the addition of fvwm-execute-buffer (C-c e b) so you can run an entire buffer at once. A pretty good idea from loupgaroublond (go thank him in #fvwm ;) ).

Re: problems with FvwmCommand - lost communication

Well, I guess a solution would be to just have a script that periodically checks your logs for the error you get (since it occurs that frequently tail -n 1 should do) and then either use yet another FvwmCommand instance or one that keeps running to restart the faulty one.

Re: Animated Gif support

I don't know if there is any technical reason behind the responses from Thomas Adam, but my "no" is motivated because I tend flee from problems, before they can call at my door. There has been a lot of fuzz about GIF/LZW and some patent issues with the owner (you can easily find the names...

Re: Different icons on different virtual desktops?

* UPDATE * I have been testing and I believe I will manage to have different FvwmButtons in different pages by the same style instruction. For example: Module FvwmButtons Main Style Main StartsOnPage 0 1 1 The more I play with fvwm the more I like it. Cheers! Yes, that's exactly how it works. Most ...

Re: Question about fvwm config

It's this line (line 93) you want to edit: *FvwmButtonsGeometry +0+0 Change it to something like: *FvwmButtonsGeometry 100x100+0+0 You also want to remove the ModulePath line(line 89) from the config, it's not really a good idea to mess with it unless you have custom modules installed. It also looks...

This thread might be of interest to you, it discusses the relationship between borders and handles and how to get rid of the latter.

Also notice that the "No*" syntax is deprecated, so it's better to use !Handles from now on.

No. :) My surname *is* Adam. It's my forename which isn't, instead it's Thomas.

Since the upgrade to phpBB3 RC1 today this feature no longer works, which I don't think is that big an issue as I was about the only user anyway.

Re: Suggestion on handling spam membership on forum

Spammers muck up the membership list. 800 of the 1500 members on FVWM have zero posts. Again, why be a member if one is not posting? See above. The count of "memebership" is flawed anyway since it doesn't bifurcate that number based on *activated* accounts, which is what it should have do...

The forum upgrade seems to have gone smoothly. I guess we'll spend some time now to finetune all the new settings and to get rid of the load of spamaccounts that have registered (and not activated). So anyway, the big changes: ⋅ automatic account activation is back on, so no you're no long...

Major forum upgrade

In the course of this week I hope to be able to upgrade the forum software to the new 3.0 RC1 release. This release will make administration a lot easier on us ("us" being me and Thomas) and will hopefully allow us to go back to automated account activation. This will probably have some re...

How did you name your PCs?

I always find it fun to see how other people name their PCs. Do you have a certain theme around which you name your PCs? Or do you randomly assign them names you like? If so, which ones? I'm currently naming them after the seven deadly sins, although the name is more attached to a certain function (...

Hi theBlackDragon, Vim is as big a Emacs nowadays, both in memory usage as in installed size I was using emacs some times (ok, it was xemacs, maybe that made the big difference). Ok maybe I'm wrong with the console emacs. Anyway, xemacs took a very long time to load, so I opened one xemacs instance...
