For those who don't know yet: I'm an Emacs zealot. A couple of features I love about Emacs: ⋅ the ability to edit remote files using a number of protocols (ssh, ftp, ...) ⋅ edit files as another user account (think 'root') ⋅ completion on about everything you'd possibl...

You can't without restarting that specific FvwmButtons instance.

I thought this to be dead but I have had some requests for this code recently and I did manage to find it again too, so here it is.

There are no guarantees that it'll work and what you see is what you get, I don't have any other information about this module (alas).

hi, I change the post because I think it is much easier to have direct links to the screenshots than downloading and extract them from archives... Otherwise, I don't know if posting here your config is a good idea. I think it is a better way to use your own post for people with specific questions.....

Configs are never truly finished anyway, so I wouldn't worry about that:)

Thomas: While you were presumably sleeping, I did the following: 1. Deleted from every directory I could identify all references to fvwm and its themes; 2. Reinstalled fvwm via emerge (which installed version 2.5.18 -- not 19), and resinstalled the fvwm-themes packages. All, for better or worse, no...

Re: xmodmap running too late?

As per one of the links I gave you, it ought to work if you choose the "failsafe" option. But if it doesn't, it's still broken. Yeah, it's broken. I generally avoid KDE and Gnome due to teh "let's do things our way" thing but it's the only login manager which works well with twinview. Ah well, back...

Re: xmodmap running too late?

I have xmodmap set up to bind my multimedia keys - this works fine under other window managers (e.g. Enlightenment DR16) using xbindkeys. In FVWM, however, any keystrokes bound to a multimedia key are not recognised, unless I re-bind them using FvwmCommand after the wm has finished loading. I am gu...

Re: A book about FVWM?

Hello all, There's nothing definite yet, but myself and Taviso have been making vague plans to see whether or not a few publishers would be willing to publish a book about FVWM. Whilst it's slightly a case of preaching to the choir, how would people gague this? Would you find such a book useful? I ...

Re: Forum reorganization

I've also come to realize that the order in which forums appear isn't always as logical, the following would, I think, be more logical: I don't mind -- this really only affects posterity, since no one really bothers to take much note of where they're asking their questions in the first place. Forum reorganization (opinions please)

I think the distance there is between the Basic and "General configuration questions" forums is a bit too much, which leads to a lot of questions that obviously belong in "General configuration questions" ending up in "Basic questions". So I was thinking that moving "Basic questions" to the "Configu...

There's a python module that kinda works but could do with some serious maintenance work (maybe one day...).

Thomas was also working on an FVMW Ruby module, see here.

This is also a duplicate of this thread, so moving to Dups.
