No session file for fvwm

fvwm runs fine on my system (ubuntu). But when I look in /usr/share/xsessions I only have:

gnome.desktop
kde.desktop
wmaker.desktop

Where is “fvwm.desktop” located and how can I choose fvwm from the sessions menu when its not located in /usr/share/xsessions??

I ask because I would like fvwm to be the default on each startup.

So you want to use a session manager with fvwm? That’s fine – but you must remember that fvwm is a window manager, so it doesn’t have one of its own.

That said, there are a number of session managers you can use. It just so happens I have some notes about that, which you can read here
