This is a project for Arch Linux.

Its an Arch Window Develper based in FVWM. So far I found FVWM is the most flexible/suitable WM for this project. The project started as an idea to develop a ‘perfect’ WM and I ended with FVWM.

ArchWD ver. 1.1
With the help of this forum in developing user packages ArchWD has taken a long jump getting itself ready for usage. Thanks to you all.

I disagree,. It’s a discussion of an FVWM config, albeit slightly removed from FVWM, but it is still one nonetheless.
Moved back.

Currently all packages are FVWM configs, except pactk (shell scripts, Bash) to install/uninstall packages and edit configures.
Those who are not using Arch Linux, may not get the system to work without tweaking, can download the packages, untar, and have a look how a particular function/feature is done or use them in their own FVWM setup. At first look the file structure in a package maybe not familiar because made in a runcom system similar to Arch’s, but the files are few easy to find around.
I am expecting, by time, the packages to increase so there will be all type of styles and bindings. They also have a version number, there will be regular upgrade until stable and do what’s expected.

EDIT:
Those who have installed ArchWD, please update your packages with PacTK (pactk -up). There were many upgrades when the main package was upgraded to ver. 1.2.

For this thread, there is now a web site listing config packages with an image of each package. The number of packages is still few when the base devepment is going on.

How the packages are installed and configured, check here:

When version 2.0 is ready, an installer will be provided for other distros.
