Are Patches making the Fvwm slower ?

Hi, I am just wondering whether it could have any bad influences on speed of fvwm ?

What is it you’re doing to think something is “slow”? Which of those patches are you using? You have to actually give information to receive pertinent information back.

None of us are capable of mind-reading just yet, much less guesswork.

So the bunch of patches in my config that I am using and meaning:
(abdn.ac.uk/~u15dm4/fvwm/)

MenuTranslucency
ResizeOutlineThin
BorderUnderTitle
InactiveFont
FluxboxHandles
RoundedCorners
TopBorder
Hover
TextOffset

(I was just curious)

OK – but what do you mean by “slow” – is it when you try and do something to a window, or what? It’s possible those patches might make things slower, but it’s unlikley. Do a comparison between and unpatched and patched FVWM version for this undefined “slowness”.

Unless you can tell us what you mean by slow, no one can help you.

As Thomas Adam said, it is very unlikely.

It all depends on what you are doing. If you feel fvwm is slow, the problem is probably in your configuration file(s). Depending upon your config, fvwm can be lighter or heavier.
