Hello,

I currently use FvwmButton to launch applications.
I use FvwmEvent add_window to resize and position itself in the screen.

If you’re using a very recent version of FVWM, see: ‘PositionPlacement’ as a better solution to this over FvwmEvent.

When I want to click and start a second application, I want to resize the first application that is open.
But since the click of the button takes the focus away from the first application, I am not able to move and resize the first application (until I click on the first application window). The move and resize commands on second application works fine.

Is it possible to move an resize an inactive window?

You simply need to do add something like this to the function which does the resizing:

+ I Prev (CurrentPage, AcceptsFocus) Resize ....
