FVWM for rhel 9 based distros

Hi guys,
we (our company) have been switched from CentOS 7 to ALma 9, and can’t find fvwm (any version) for this distro on any repository. It seems that it should be found in epel 9 repo, but somewhere I found a table which told me that it has not been deployed there yet.

Is there any plan to support rhel 9 in the (hopeully) near future ?
We’ve been using fvwm since many years and we definitely need a small fast window manager. I more or less accidently found fvwm version 3 and was surprised that this old thingy is still under active developement , which is great !

That’s up to the distribution. FVWM does not package or distribute binaries. I suggest you bring this request to the Alma team.

You can always build fvwm from source or even create your own rpm so you can deploy with ease at your company.

Just to add to what @lgsobalvarro said, there shouldn’t be anything special which a packager would need to do to support FVWM’s packaging.

Please note though that I hope fvwm3 is implied. This sounds be the version you upgrade to. In doing so, any packager should be aware of the switch to meson. More details here:
