After I got a new MacBook Pro I can no longer run fvwm2 as a separate desktop. Previously I was able to switch between displays after
exec /opt/local/bin/fvwm2 after clocking on Xquartz but that no longer works.
I am so used to fvwm that find it hard to work otherwise. Pls, any advice on how
to set it up very much appreciated - thanks !!!

Seems like Apple isn’t too interested in their X11 support, the situation seems to be common.
Have a look here (with a possible solution).
