gtk-based panels & focus

Hi all! Now I trying to use gnome-panel in fvwm. Main wish - panel must not receive focus! But it seems that gtk-based panels ignoring NeverFocus style. One moment: when using SloppyFocus policy, it works…but when I click to panel, panel recive focus. Earlier I have tried to use other panels (perlpanel, fbpanel, trayer(just for tray)) - same problem. Kicker(kde panel) - works fine, in all cases.

Is there any solution? I know, that other wm`s have same problem(metacity, openbox). Xfwm - all works fine. “Different” standarts? :unamused:

PS. Sorry for bad english…

Go back to basics and check that (via FvwmIdent, xinwinfo, etc.) that you’re using the correct name for such things (remember style lines are case-sensitive). You probably also want to look at some of the EWMH* style option as well as NoGNOMEHints. Beyond that, given the lack of information, that’s all I can give you for now.

xprop output (not all of course):

FvwmIdent says:

Focus Policy: Locally Active

  • Input Field: True
  • WM_TAKE_FOCUS: Present
    EWMH Init State: Sticky

NoGnomeHints

What? There is no such style?

It seems that focus styles ignored by all (gedit, gftp, firefox, etc) gtk applications. Other styles (NoTitle for example) works. Unresolveable?

What version of FVWM are you using?

That’s not true. Can you upload your config somewhere?

What version of FVWM…

2.5.14 (ubuntu breezy build)
