I can find absolutely no way to disable it. Personally I don’t like it and would want it disabled. Is there any way to do that?

That is the GeometryWindow, you can look this up in the manual page and it will tell you how to configure it, including where it is positioned and when to show it. In this case something like GeometryWindow Hide will give you what you want.
Sorry for the late response, thank you! The config is such a mess to read, even with the comments. Occasionally I find myself running in circles deleting random things and hoping to get the result that I want. The window dragging text was pretty annoying to me and stuck out, so it’s great that I can disable it
