Name when "touching" a button?

I have used the last1½ hour to read through this page:

fvwm.org/documentation/manpa … askBar.php

to find a option that gives the icons name when you touch a button, without any success.

I have defined the following button:

*FvwmTaskBar: Button Title Test, Icon /home/me/icons/gnome-terminal.png, Action (Mouse 1) Exec exec gnome-terminal

But then “Test” gets printed on the icon. It should only appear when I put the mouse over the button.

I have tried:

*FvwmTaskBar: UseIconNames

But that seems to have no effect.

I tried playing with it, but I’m sorry to say that it’s not possible to achieve what you want (easily anyway. FocusColorset works only for windowbuttons… I guess it could be relatively easy to incorporate for rest of the buttons?).
Ofcourse, since I don’t know for sure, this is only a guess.

You’re not wrong, which is another reason why Bigblop should think about using FvwmButtons and FvwmIconMan in place of FvwmTaskbar. It takes only the slightest of effort to make it look like, and act like the win98 taskbar.
