The FvwmTaksBar had
*FvwmTaskBar: MailBox
Where you specify a local dir that recevied mail (with the help of fetchmail) and then go a bip when new mail arrived.
But I cannot find anything about mail in either FvwmIconMan or FvwmButtons.
Is it only in FvwmTaskBar that this possible?
That’s correct. There’s a whole plethora of other applications to do the same thing. I use Xlassie, but it’s not to everyone’s taste. There’s also “xbiff”, “coolmail”, amongst others, that you can swallow into FvwmButtons. There’s also (if you search the forums) several FvwmScript solutions.
