removal of taskbar

Is there anyway to remove the taskbar, completely?

I don’t care if it is ‘running in the background’, I just don’t want to be able to see it.

If anyone knows what Style setting or FvwmTaskBar setting I need to set, please let me know.

Sure, just don’t load it. :stuck_out_tongue:

It has an ‘autohide’ option, which is buggy. Or see the main FVWM FAQ about auto-hiding windows.

I tried not loading the FvwmTaskBar, and fvwm loaded some ugly default taskbar for me…
I tried the same thing for an FVWMPager (I one to exist, I just don’t want to see it).

anyway to keep fvwm from loading a default taskbar when a differet one isn’t specifed in my .fvwm2rc file?

I have no idea what you mean, then. FVWM never loads with a default task-bar, unless you tell it to load something like FvwmTaskBar, FvwmButtons, or FvwmIconMan, all of which resemble taskbars.

ya… sorry about hat, forgot to remove the reference to FvwmTaskBar and FvwmPager in my startup function…
