Running FvwmCommand from an xterm opened via ssh

Whether I open an xterm using ssh, or am in an xterm and I ssh into a remote machine, the command

FvwmCommand ‘Pick WindowStyle MiniIcon /home/simon/.fvwm/png/5540Icon.png’

returns

No such file or directory FvwmCommand error in opening message fifo

Is there any way to fix this? I’m using fvwm2

From the manpage, that error seems to suggest the module FvwmCommandS is not running. You first have to start the module in fvwm for FvwmCommand to work.
