What is ur distro?

Debian Stable here.

I started using FVWM ages ago, I think around the year 2000. I used some config I found on the young web for a while. Then came 2.5 and I used the default paleviolet red config that was auto generated. I have pretty much stuck with that and now use it whatever OS I have. It’s usually Debian but i have a NetbBSD laptop.

NetBSD is pretty nice OS, they’ve ported nvidia open source driver — nouveau (https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/NetBSD/)
So it is a very good option to try, for those nvidia GPU owners, who wants to try *BSD.
Unfortunately, no good nvidia drivers are available on OpenBSD and DragonFlyBSD,
only crappy nv driver, which doesn’t support 3D acceleration. But if you use
intel integrated graphics, it should work for you on every *BSD,
including suspend/resume part.

I like ubuntu more than anything else. I have no idea why, maybe because I have become habituated to the interface.

Bumping and old discussion prompts a question if I’m really sure. Yes, I am.

I’m running archlinux armv7 on the desktop RaspberryPi in my office, on my NAS server and a PiHole server; archlinux aarch64 on my Nextcloud-Server, and Raspbian on the Pi in the living room for Kodi. My desktop machine which I use for some movie editing and “heavier” stuff has been running OpenSuSe for too long to make me want to switch the distro (would be Arch if I had to).
Fvwm is on my desktop Pi in the office and on my home PC.

EDIT: Sorry, I should’ve read the news first. Apologies for re-opening a closed topic.
