WM hint for close button

I’ve just set my config with MwmDecor* ButtonStyle (after many years of fvwm :blush:), and I was wondering if either gnome hints, mwm hints, EWMH etc. specifies a way to hide close button and if there is a way to tell fvwm which is the close button?

That’s what happens within your decor. If you clear the button first, then you can do what you like with it. Hence:

+ ButtonStyle 1 - Clear MWMDecorMenu
+ ButtonStyle 2 - Clear MWMDecorMax
+ ButtonStyle 4 - Clear MWMDecorMin

Using: Style bar !Button X at your leisure, if you so wish.
